1991 VINTAGE

The Guide des Vignobles et de la Gastronomie 1998 :
CLOS VOUGEOT GRAND CRU 1991: Quite a massive wine, very pleasing in the mouth. Excellent structure.

The Guide Hachette des Vins 1994 :
ECHEZEAUX 1991
: "Remarks on the art of drinking well" by René Engel is present in every good Burgundian library.

His grandson Philippe's Echezeaux could likewise be present in your cellar.

Of a red that should not be permitted, the nose hesitates between floral and wood, it is drinking very well at present, and should mature beautifully. Chewy. An excellent success of the vintage.

Sommeliers, Jacky Rigaux :
The VOSNE ROMANEE 1991 offers a bouquet of red fruit and flowers (nuances of violet). Rounded structure.

LES ECHEZEAUX 1991 is fleshy with a beautiful structure. Particularly sensual, balanced and silky.

LES GRANDS ECHEZEAUX 1991 : has a vigorous framework with powerful, complex aromas. Well-rounded, delicate and elegant.

50 Millions de Consommateurs, November 1993 :
VOSNE ROMANEE 1991: A deep, complex nose with aromas of truffles, spices, prunes, raspberries and cassis. Full of finesse in the mouth, a delicate bouquet, very floral (roses, hawthorn and violet...). It should be served at all great tables as this will undeniably be one of the most successful Grands Crus of the 1991 vintage.
